UM ESTUDO COMPARATIVO ENTRE O ASPECTO PERFECT NO PORTUGUÊS E NO ESPANHOL
A COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN PERFECT ASPECT IN PORTUGUESE AND SPANISH
Resumo
O aspecto perfect, quando associado ao tempo presente, relaciona uma situação passada ao presente ou por meio da sua persistência – perfect universal – ou por meio dos seus efeitos – perfect existencial. O objetivo deste trabalho é investigar e comparar as realizações de perfect universal e existencial no português do Brasil e no espanhol de Madri através de formas verbais e advérbios/expressões adverbiais. Para a investigação das línguas selecionadas para este trabalho, optou-se pela análise de dados a partir da revisão da descrição presente na literatura. Foi possível identificar (1) que a perífrase “ter” + particípio, ou passado composto, não apresenta um comportamento uniforme entre essas línguas e (2) que outras formas verbais, bem como advérbios/expressões adverbiais, contribuem para a expressão desse aspecto nas duas línguas. Assim sendo, defendemos que essas línguas compartilham a categoria de perfect, independentemente de haver uma morfologia específica para a expressão desse aspecto.
Abstract
The perfect aspect, when associated with the present time, relates a past situation to the present or through its persistence – universal perfect – or through its effects – existential perfect. The aim of this study is to investigate and compare the realizations of universal and existential perfect in Brazilian Portuguese and Madrid Spanish through verbal forms and adverbs/adverbial expressions. In order to investigate the selected languages for this study, it was opted for a data analysis based on the review of the description found in the literature. It was possible to identify (1) that the periphrasis “to have” + participle does not show a uniform behavior between these languages and (2) that other verbal forms, as well as adverbs/adverbial expressions, contribute to the expression of this aspect in both languages. Therefore, it is sustained that these languages share the category of perfect, regardless of whether there is a specific morphology for the expression of this aspect.
