TRANSPLANTE DE ÓRGÃOS: Uma Análise à luz do Serviço Social
ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION: An Analysis in the Light of Social Work
Resumo
O tema em estudo tem como principal objetivo aprofundar o debate sobre o processo de trabalho do Assistente Social na área de Transplante de Órgãos. Esse tema foi ministrado em uma palestra na faculdade pela professora (orientadora) e motivou a aluna (orientanda) a pesquisar sobre ele. Após a palestra surgiu a seguinte indagação: qual a relevância do profissional de Serviço Social no processo de Transplante de Órgãos? Assim, o objetivo desse trabalho foi propor um levantamento sobre o processo de trabalho do Assistente Social na área do Transplante de Órgãos, trazendo assim uma discussão sobre o tema abordado. A pesquisa foi embasada em estudos bibliográficos, traçando todo o processo de inserção do Serviço Social na Saúde, onde vários autores como: Bravo, Matos e Iamamoto deram a sustentação teórica necessária. Para maior entendimento sobre o papel do Assistente Social no processo de Transplante de Órgãos, foram utilizados artigos científicos e sites oficiais como da ABTO (Associação Brasileira de Transplante de Órgãos), PET (Programa Estadual de Transplante) e outros. Contudo, durante a pesquisa, foi observado que essa atuação não é muito discutida e que não existem profissionais de Serviço Social em todos os hospitais atuando nesse campo específico, fato que tornou a pesquisa mais difícil e desafiadora.
Abstract
The main objective of this study is to deepen the debate about the work process of the Social Worker in the area of Organ Transplantation. This subject was taught in a lecture at the faculty by the teacher (counselor) and motivated the student (pupil) to research about it. After the lecture the following question arose: what is the relevance of the Social Work professional in the process of Organ Transplantation? Thus, the objective of this work was to propose a survey on the work process of the Social Worker in the area of Organ Transplantation, thus bringing a discussion on the topic addressed. The research was based on bibliographic studies, tracing the whole process of insertion of Social Service in Health, where several authors such as: Bravo, Matos and Iamamoto gave the necessary theoretical support. For more understanding about the role of the Social Worker in the Organ Transplantation process, scientific articles and official websites such as ABTO (Brazilian Association of Organ Transplantation), PET (State Transplant Program) and others were used. However, during the research, it was observed that this performance is not much discussed and that there are no Social Service professionals in all hospitals working in this specific field, which made research more difficult and challenging.
