TRÁFICO DE PESSOAS NA DIMENSÃO DO TRABALHO PELA PERSPECTIVA DA MÍDIA BRASILEIRA

TRAFFICKING OF PEOPLE IN THE DIMENSION OF WORK BY THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE BRAZILIAN MEDIA

Resumo

Esse artigo tem como objetivo discutir sobre o Tráfico Humano para fins de Trabalho Escravo, entendendo que esse tema é pouco debatido no campo acadêmico e pouco noticiado pelos principais meios de comunicação brasileira, embora dados indiquem que no Brasil tal situação é crítica. No decorrer da pesquisa bibliográfica e documental encontrou-se dificuldade em obter informações oficiais, ainda que o país seja considerado atuante em políticas públicas tendo assinado, inclusive, tratados internacionais sobre a referente questão. Em vista da insuficiência de dados optou-se pela realização de uma pesquisa no acervo digital do Jornal Folha de São Paulo como forma de comparar informações e debater como a mídia trata o tráfico humano e o trabalho escravo. Os resultados indicam a necessidade de maiores pesquisas e a obtenção de maiores dados por parte do poder público.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss human trafficking for the purpose of slave labor, on the understanding that this topic is little discussed in the academic field and even little reported by mainstream media, although data indicate that in Brazil the situation is critical. In the course of documentary and bibliographical research met difficulties in obtaining official information acknowledging that the country is considered to be active in public policy and signed international treaties on the subject. In view of the inadequacy of data we decided to carry out a search in the digital collection of the newspaper Folha de São Paulo in order to compare information and discuss how the media treats the human trafficking and slave labor. The results indicate the need for further research and obtaining data from the largest public authorities.
