SOCIETY AND FAMILY: A Historical, Social and Structural Look at the Family

Resumo

A família sempre ocupou papel fundamental na sociedade. O conceito de família, além de abranger um conjunto de pessoas, concebe uma construção social, instituída por preceitos, valores e aspectos, transmitidos pelos pais aos filhos. Entendendo que a família se constitui de forma relacional e num contexto histórico-social, pretendemos apresentar fatores que contribuíram para a definição e consolidação de suas concepções e estruturas, considerando seu contexto histórico. O texto apresentado é um levantamento bibliográfico que propõe a análise da construção do conceito de família e a pluralidade das formas com que se apresenta. A importância desse trabalho está no fato de que a família exerce papel fundamental na construção do indivíduo. É nesse cenário que os primeiros ensinamentos sobre convívio social, regra de conduta e cultura, são passados. Nos propomos a discutir família, como sistema, depois apresentar sua constituição história e por fim, elucidar as novas configurações familiares.

Abstract
The family has always played a fundamental role in society. The concept of family, in addition to covering a group of people, conceives a social construction, instituted by precepts, values and aspects, transmitted by parents to their children. Understanding that the family is constituted in a relational and historical-social context, we intend to present factors that contributed to the definition and consolidation of their conceptions and structures, considering their historical context. The text presented is a bibliographic survey that proposes an analysis of the construction of the concept of family and the plurality of forms in which it is presented. The importance of this work is in the fact that the family plays a fundamental role in the construction of the individual. It is in this scenario that the first teachings about coexistence, rule of conduct and culture are transmitted. We propose to discuss the family, as a system, to then present its historical constitution and, finally, to elucidate the new family configurations.
