O LUGAR DA ANGÚSTIA NA CLÍNICA PSICANALÍTICA

THE PLACE OF ANGUISH IN THE PSYCHOANALYTIC CLINIC

Abstract

Este trabalho aborda o lugar que a angústia ocupa na clínica, mais especificamente na experiência de análise, a partir das elaborações de Freud e Lacan sobre o assunto, bem como de alguns de seus comentadores. Embora a vivência da angústia seja uma constante nos relatos dos sujeitos que buscam um modo de lidar com seu sofrimento psíquico – incluindo o discurso médico, a via psicoterápica ou outros recursos oferecidos pela cultura - a maneira como a psicanálise aborda e lida com a angústia do sujeito se diferencia significativamente. A partir de uma articulação entre a teoria e a clínica, procura-se situar o lugar e mesmo a função que a angústia ocupa no tratamento psicanalítico. O trajeto de análise não é sem angústia e, nesse sentido, é o manejo do analista que servirá de suporte para que o analisante possa sustentar a passagem por este processo.

Abstract

This work aims to adress the place that anguish occupies in the clinic, more specifically in the analysis experience. We are based on the writings of Freud and Lacan on the subject, as well as of some of their commentators. Although the experience of anguish is a constant in the complains of subjects who seek help to deal with their psychological suffering – including medical discourse, the psychotherapeutic modality or other resourses offered by culture – the way psychoanalysis adresses and deals with anguish of the subject differs significacantly. Based on articulation between theory and clinic, we try to situate the place and even the role that role that anguish occupies in psychoanalytic treatment. The analysis path is not without anguish and in this sense, it is the analyst´s handling that will be a support to sustain the passage through this process.
