FREE CINEMA SCHOOL: Creative Economy and Social Transformation
Resumo
Este artigo disserta sobre a utilização recorrente da cidade de Barra do Piraí e região como locação de diversas obras audiovisuais e da recente criação de políticas de incentivo a esse tipo de atividade. Buscando atender às necessidades geradas a partir dessas produções, propõe-se a criação de uma Escola Livre de Cinema. Por meio de análise, as justificativas mais relevantes para o projeto estão entre o modelo de desenvolvimento econômico que melhor se adequa à essa atividade e as transformações sociais já ocorridas, principalmente o benefício atribuído aos mais jovens, que são iniciados no mundo da produção cinematográfica por meio de atividades nas escolas e encontram nisso uma possibilidade de futuro profissional.
Abstract
This article discusses the recurrent use of the city of Barra do Piraí and the region as location to several audiovisual works and recent creation of policies to encourage this type of activity According to the reflections, to meet the needs of these productions, it is proposed the creation of a Film School. Through analysis, the most relevant justifications for the project are within the model of economic development that best suits this activity and how social transformations have occurred, especially thebenefit attributed to the younger ones, who are initiated in the world of film production by means of activities in schools and they find in these market of a possibility of professional future.
