YOUTH AND ADULT EDUCATION: An Experience Report in the Pedagogical Residency Program

Resumo

O ensino de biologia na Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) passou por adaptações durante o Residência Pedagógica, pois a pandemia do COVID-19 mudou o rumo do ensino no país. Este trabalho teve como objetivo relatar uma experiência docente sobre o ensino de biologia no Colégio Estadual Presidente Roosevelt na modalidade de ensino EJA, além de descrever a importância do programa residência pedagógica para a formação do professor de biologia. A área de conhecimento ministrada durante a aula escolhida foi ecologia, abordando a temática energia nos ecossistemas. Os principais conceitos abordadosdurante a aula foram relacionados aos diferentes grupos de seres vivos considerando seu papel alimentar e a importância da energia nos ecossistemas. Os resultados obtidos durante a aula foram positivos, pois os alunos demonstraram interesse com o tema e foram participativos.

Abstract

Biology teaching in Youth and Adult Education (EJA) underwent adaptations during the Pedagogical Residency, as the COVID-19 pandemic changed the course of education in the country. This study aimed to report a teaching experience on the teaching of biology at Colégio Estadual Presidente Roosevelt in the EJA teaching modality, in addition to describing the importance of the pedagogical residency program for the training of biology teachers. The area of knowledge taught during the chosen class was ecology, addressing the issue of energy in ecosystems. The main concepts discussed during the class were related to the different groups of living beings, considering their food role and the importance of energy in ecosystems. The results obtained during the class were positive, as the students showed interest in the topic and were participative.
