STUDY OF THE USE OF METALLIC STRUCTURES IN CIVIL CONSTRUCTION

Resumo

O presente trabalho tem como foco principal demonstrar a importância da utilização das estruturas metálicas na construção civil, bem como a facilidade e praticidade de programar sua utilização nas construções mais recentes, também chamadas de construções modernas ou construções com designer arquitetônico ousado. Houve um acréscimo exorbitante na quantidade de obras recentes que vêm utilizando estruturas metálicas no lugar das mais convencionais. Isso acontece, devido aos benefícios que as estruturas metálicas possuem diante dos outros modelos estruturais. Desde sua praticidade, tempo de obra e até mesmo seu custo, tem influência no momento da escolha do tipo de estrutura a ser utilizada na construção. O objetivo desse artigo é justamente demonstrar os motivos que tornam a migração para as estruturas metálicas, algo tão positivo e em quantidades tão elevadas recentemente. Além disso, serão apresentados quais são os benefícios que as estruturas metálicas proporcionam em sua utilização, e até mesmo como efetuar o descarte, caso essas estruturas se tornem ociosas.

Abstract

The  present  work  has  as  main  focus  to  demonstrate  the  importance  of  the  use  of metallic  structures  in  civil  construction,  as  well  as  the  ease  and  practicality  of implementing   their   use   in   the   most   recent   constructions,   also   called   modern constructions  or  constructions  with  bold  architectural  designer.  There  has  been  an exorbitant  increase  in  the  number  of  recent  works  that  have  been  using  metal structures  instead  of  the  more  conventional  ones.  This  happens  due  to  the  benefits that  the  metallic  structures  have  in  front  of  the  other  structural  models.  From  its practicality, time of work and even its cost, has influence in the moment of the choice of  the  type  of  structure  to  be  used  in  the  construction.  The  purpose  of  this  paper  is precisely  to  demonstrate  the reasons  that  make  the  migration  to  metallic  structures something  so  positive  and  in  quantities  so  high  recently.  In  addition,  it  will  be presented what are the benefits that the metallic structures provide in their use, and even how to effect the disposal, if these structures become idle.
