DESENVOLVIMENTO DE UM PROTÓTIPO SISTEMA TUTOR INTELIGENTE COMO FERRAMENTA DE ENSINO-APRENDIZAGEM DA MATEMÁTICA BÁSICA
DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTELLIGENT TUTORING SYSTEM PROTOTYPE AS A TOOL FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING BASIC MATHEMATICS
Resumo
A escola deve ser um ambiente mais estimulante, já que cada vez mais alunos perdem o interesse diante de um currículo conteudista que pouco correlaciona às disciplinas e suas aplicações práticas. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo a criação de um protótipo de Sistema Tutor Inteligente como ferramenta de ensino, com o intuito de estimular e reforçar o aprendizado do aluno abordando de maneira mais prática e dinâmica, algumas das operações básicas da Matemática. É baseado em métodos de ensino e de aprendizado, identificando através de um questionário o estilo cognitivo do aluno, utilizando como auxiliar desse processo a tutoria inteligente. O principal resultado foi o êxito na classificação do aluno mediante o questionário, mostrando que a forma como será o aprendizado pode ser maximizado ao se considerar as características individuais de cada usuário.
Abstract
The school should become a more stimulating environment as more and more students lose interest in a content curriculum that correlates little the disciplines and their practical applications. The aim of this article was to create a prototype intelligent tutor system as a teaching tool to stimulate and reinforce students’ learning by addressing in a more practical and dynamic way some of the basic operations of Mathematics. It is based on teaching and learning methods, identifying through a questionnaire the student’s cognitive style, using as an aid to this process, intelligent tutoring. The main result was the successful classification of the student through the questionnaire, showing how the learning process can be maximized when considering the individual characteristics of each user.
