Résumé

A presente pesquisa bibliográfica pretende por meio de uma abordagem histórica e crítica, verificar, desde a fundação dos Manicômios Judiciários em território brasileiro, como, enfim, chegamos à atual prática judiciária de internamento dos inimputáveis nos Hospitais de Custódia e Tratamento, através da Medida de Segurança, considerando a mudança dos paradigmas sociais no que se refere aos doentes mentais que cometem crime.

Abstract

The present bibliographic and telematized research intends, through a historical and critical approach, to verify, since the foundation of the Judicial Asylums in Brazilian territory, how, finally, we arrived at the current judicial practice of internment of the unimputable in the Custody and Treatment Hospitals, through Security measure, considering the change in social paradigms with regard to the mentally ill who commit crime.
